A few weeks ago, something crazy happened. Like although it was happening to me and through me, it was though I was an observer throughout the whole process. In my last post, Hello, from the Other Side, I wrote about how I used to get spooked when spirits I didn’t know would visit me. It happens in flashes. Sometimes I see dark shadows on the corner of my eye. I have to do a double take. Sometimes I see things in my mind’s eye or in dreams. I used to tell myself there was nothing there or there was something there, I’d tell them to go away. But recently, I’ve tried to keep an open mind.
This time, I saw someone in my mind’s eye. He was taller than me, African-American with caramel colored skin, and bald. He was also standing at the bottom of my stairwell. I was about to go upstairs and head to bed when I realized an entity was trying to communicate with me. I could feel his vibe. He was calm, polite, and non-intrusive. But I could tell he was firm and took no shit. In my mind, I asked him, “Do I know you?” And through thought form, he replied, “No, but you know someone that I know.” “Who?” I questioned, and the image of my Facebook friend’s profile picture popped into my head. We’ll call her Tina. I asked this man what his name was and I thought he said, “Warren.” That was funny. I thought he looked like Warren G. He asked me to get in touch with my Facebook friend and he was very insistent on delivering a message to her. “Ok,” I told him, “I’ll let her know you’re trying to get in touch.” He thanked me and went away.
Let me just say that even though this metaphysical stuff keeps happening to me, I still question my abilities and is this stuff for real? Again, I told myself to keep an open mind. I was hesitant to ask Tina about Warren but my intuition was urging me to and really, what harm could it do? So I messaged her.
A few months back, I wrote about Finding Out How I Might be Psychic and offered free intuitive readings. Tina showed interest, but we never set a time to do it. At least I knew she too would be open to it. I told her about my encounter with Warren and asked if she knew anyone like that, that had passed away.
She was shocked. Her cousin, whose name was Warren, passed away 2 months ago. She sent me a picture. He even looked like Warren G! Craaaazzzyyyy… But it didn’t stop there. Tina and I tried to set up a time to talk, but we kept missing each other. Eventually, Warren showed up. This time, he was in my bedroom. “Call her again,” he said. “I don’t want to bug her,” I told him. “I already tried setting up a time. Look, if she wants to talk, she’ll get back to me,” I said. He looked like he was not satisfied with that answer, but accepted it, and disappeared.
That afternoon, Tina face-timed me. “That’s so funny you called me today,” I said to her, “Warren came to visit me again,” and I told her about our interaction. She told me that was so like him. He was like a used car salesman. He just kept coming back.
Tina had never had a reading done before so I explained to her, my process. I start with a prayer at the beginning of the reading to open up as a channel. I ask the guides for guidance and for protection. Then, I await information. In this case, I was waiting for Warren to show up. Strangely, I felt like he was around, but I couldn’t see him. It was as if he was hiding from me. Tina said it sounded just like him because he liked to play around. Once Tina started laughing, Warren showed up. He was with another woman.
Tina told me that Warren had called her before he passed away. She told him she would call him back… but he had died before she got the chance to. She told me he was on his way to their family reunion right before he passed. Warren let me know that he wasn’t mad at Tina for not calling him back. And yeah, he wished that they would have gone to the family reunion together. He indicated that he and Tina would have gotten drunk together. She laughed and told me at every family reunion, he would ask her, “Hey cuz, where the bottle at?!” Though neither of them was able to go to the reunion, Warren said that the family reunion on the other side was amazing.”Tina, they’s chitlins in heaven!” he shouted in excitement. And in my mind, I saw an image of an older woman frying up some chitlins. Tina started laughing again and told me that Warren LOVED chitlins when he was alive. When they were kids, he would be at their aunt’s house waiting to eat them. That aunt had also passed away. Tina was not a fan of chitlins, but told me it definitely would be a “Warren thing” to say.
What Warren was trying to communicate to me, he did through thought and feelings, as well as visual cues. I felt immersed in a sea of love and kindness, that I attempted to portray to Tina. It was so profound, it brought me to tears. I told her how much he loved her and how wonderfully he cared about her. She appreciated it and told me that the two of them had a special bond. They were both the Blacksheep of the family. The two of them were always getting into trouble, always had to do things their way, but they looked out for each other. Tina explained to me how Warren was there for her when she attempted suicide. Warren told me he remembered that. He said he was so angry with her, he wanted to beat her like a dog. I told Tina what Warren said. She busted out laughing and confirmed that was his reaction.
Tina started to mention that Warren’s sister had passed away too. I told her that I saw a woman with Warren. She was heavyset or “thick” and light-skinned with short, light-colored hair. “That’s her,” said Tina. Her name was Camilla. In my mind, Camilla came forward and was then standing in front Warren. This, to me, indicated she had something to say. So I told Tina the message had to share.
I sensed that Camilla had a daughter. This, made Tina’s eyes swell up. Tina said that Camilla had passed away giving birth to her daughter. Her daughter was now about to finish high school. Camilla had a lot of love for her daughter and wanted her daughter to know that her mom was is always with her, always looking out for her. She wished that she could be there to help her with her homework and make lunch for her every day, but was proud of the person her daughter had become. Camilla then indicated a sense of urgency. She showed me a picture of a man, who I sensed an uncle figure. He posed a grave threat to Camilla’s daughter. I told Tina, it was imminent that she communicate this message to Camilla’s daughter as soon as possible. Her daughter was in danger.
Tina agreed to and suspected it was one of the great uncles who was known for seducing the nieces. Camilla was one of the nieces he “got to.” I had a feeling this wasn’t the uncle Camilla was talking about, but Tina went on about him and I eventually forgot to mention it may be a different uncle.
Tina and I talked a bit more with Warren and Camilla. She asked if Warren knew how bad his medical condition was before he passed. I looked into his past and told her I had a sense that he didn’t like going to the doctor, that he sort of knew about the condition, but didn’t know the severity. I then heard Warren say that doctors tried to warn him, but that he didn’t believe them. Tina told me that that’s what she had heard from a relative. The doctors had warned Warren not to go on the family reunion trip, but he went anyway. When he got there, he had to go to the hospital. Warren let me know they couldn’t resuscitate him. She confirmed that he died there and they tried to resuscitate him and were able to 12-13 times, but he kept crashing. Tina was more in shock how I knew this information before she told me about it.
Camilla had one more message to her daughter. She said that her daughter would know that her mother was around if she saw butterflies nearby.
Warren had a few more things to say to Tina, too. He asked her to get in touch with his brother in case his brother wanted to do a reading too. I was fine with this. I then saw Warren standing by a white table. On it, was a punch bowl and some fish. His final message to Tina was, “I love you. I’ll be waiting for you here on the other side, standing next to the punch bowl with some catfish.” Tina started laughing uncontrollably. She told me that when they were younger, the cousins would get together and throw parties that would always feature a punch bowl with some sort of alcoholic concoction. “The punch bowl,” is what they knew would get everyone messed up. She shared with me that her family was from Louisianna. Whenever they got together, they would have a fish fry, the majority of which, being fried catfish. She told me growing up, she only knew there to exist two types of fish: catfish and red snapper.
Tina was blown away. She told me there was no way I would know this much detail about her family. She said, “If I never believed in this kind of thing before, I do now.” She kept repeating, “There’s no way.” She thanked me for the reading and said that she would tell Camilla’s daughter and Warren’s brother of our conversation. “How do I frame this?” she asked me. “Just tell them exactly what happened, how we started talking, and what I had to tell you,” I said to her. She agreed to do so.
After we hung up, Tina messaged me within the next few hours. She told me she got in touch with Warren’s brother and Camilla’s daughter. They confirmed that there really was an uncle that was posing a danger to her. It was not the same uncle Tina thought it was, but things were so bad that Camilla’s daughter had to leave the state. Nobody in the family knew about this except Warren’s brother and Warren’s brother did not tell anyone. They were all floored at the accuracy of this reading. To tell you the truth, so was I. The three of them let me know that they were very grateful for the messages and information that was presented.
A week later, Tina messaged me. Camilla’s daughter was taking a nap and when she woke up, she opened the sliding glass door by her room. This woke up a few butterflies that fluttered about. Some of them entered the room. She told me that nothing like this had ever happened to her before.
Two days ago and two weeks after the reading I gave for Tina, I opened my bedroom door. I saw something orange on the floor and thought it was a sticker or piece of paper… until Nelson pointed out it was a butterfly… Hmm… A butterfly came into our house and lands in front of our bedroom door. It was still alive. That NEVER happened before either.
It just made me think about how everything happened and this story unfolded. If I doubted my abilities before, this experience confirmed on so many levels, that there is something to this. My mind is not just making up random stuff. If Tina didn’t believe in psychic abilities and communicating with those who have crossed-over before, she does now. If I hadn’t had an open mind about all of this, this may not have happened. And because I stayed open, because I was willing to work on developing my psychic abilities, because I was willing to step out of my comfort zone, I was able to help a family in the process. Two people on the other side had messages to give and two people on this side were able to receive it. Lots of healing happened. Lots of love happened.
Miracles do exist.
